Ansel Adams is an almost mythic figure in the world
of black-and white photography and wilderness preservation. He
was involved with the Sierra Club for more than 50 years and played
a seminal role it its evolution. The meaning and legacy of his
life work were recently explored by documentary producer Ric Burns
in "Ansel Adams: a Documentary
Film," which was broadcast on WGBH's American Experience
series. |
