Judicial Nominations

Now that Congress has become more fair-minded and aware of the need to confirm impartial judges, the Sierra Club is winding down its judicial nominations campaign. We will continue to track and participate in nominations that warrant attention, such as any additional Supreme Court nominations. Meanwhile, we are delighted to report that the most controversial nominees from the last Congress have withdrawn their names from consideration. As a result, we can rest easier that anti-environmental nominees that we opposed, such as William Myers, will not be a threat to our environmental laws and safeguards any time soon.
