Use the Sierra Club's website to find environmental news, local events, outdoor trips, opportunities for activism, and more. Our navigation provides easy access to the highlights of our site. See the diagram and our navigation guide below.
Top Navigation
Many people coming to our site will be looking for a specific environmental issue or a specific region that they care most about. The top navigation bar offers these choices. The lefthand pulldown, "environmental update," lists environmental issues and the righthand pulldown, "my backyard," lists regions in the U.S.

This navigation bar, found on the righthand side of most of our pages, lists the main sections of the Sierra Club website:

- Get Outdoors: Sierra Club national and international trip listings, online sign-ups, travel tips.
- Join or Give: All about membership, donations, and long-term giving.
- Inside Sierra Club: Lots of Sierra Club stuff, including jobs, history, policies, the Planet Newsletter, regional offices, the Sierra Club Foundation, and more.
- Sierra Club Store: Books, calendars, notecards, bags, clothing, and watches.

Enjoying www.sierraclub.org
Browser versions: www.sierraclub.org is best viewed with a modern browser enabled to handle javascript, like Internet Explorer 6 (or above), or Netscape 7 (or above). If you have one of these modern browsers, it should already be enabled to handle javascript - you don't need to do anything to your browser settings. Just explore and enjoy!
Monitor resolution: Our website looks best with a monitor resolution or display size of 1024 pixels wide by 768 pixels high, or greater. Most computers sold nowadays have a 1204 x 768 resolution on a 17" monitor. Also common is an 800 x 600 screen resolution on monitors that measure 13" diagonally. Look down at the bottom of your browser display as you read this. If you see a horizontal scrollbar at the bottom of this webpage, it means your monitor or your monitor settings are too narrow to accommodate our webpages without scrolling. Try resetting your display size.
